Michelle Little
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
Michelle Little is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and functional psychiatry services for adults. With more than 16 years of nursing experience and nearly a decade as a nurse practitioner, she is passionate about helping patients understand the many factors that influence mental health and emotional well-being.
Michelle specializes in the assessment and treatment of conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, insomnia, and stress-related concerns. She believes effective psychiatric care should look beyond symptom management alone and seek to understand the underlying factors that may be contributing to a patient’s struggles.
A particular area of interest for Michelle is functional psychiatry. In addition to traditional psychiatric evaluation and treatment, she explores how factors such as nutrition, sleep quality, hormone changes, inflammation, metabolic health, stress, and lifestyle habits can influence mental health symptoms. Many patients are surprised to learn how closely these factors can affect mood, focus, energy, motivation, cognition, and emotional resilience.
As both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, Michelle brings a unique perspective to psychiatric care. Her dual certification provides a deeper understanding of the connection between physical and mental health, allowing her to thoughtfully evaluate potential medical, hormonal, nutritional, and lifestyle contributors that may impact psychiatric symptoms. This broader foundation helps her develop more comprehensive and individualized treatment plans while maintaining a primary focus on mental health care.
